[597] Now at that time, bhikkhunīs were dwelling in the forest. Scoundrels violated them. They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhus, a bhikkhunī should not dwell in the forest. Whoever should so dwell commits an offence of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa)."
