[628] Now, in this recitation of the Vinaya there were five hundred bhikkhus, neither fewer nor more. Therefore this recitation of the Vinaya is called "the Recitation of the Five Hundred." The Pañcasatika-khandhaka, the Eleventh, is finished. In this khandhaka there are twenty-three items. _______________ The summary thereof (uddāna):
