[650] Now at that time a bhikkhu named Ajita, of ten years' standing, was the reciter of the Pātimokkha for the Saṅgha. Then the Saṅgha appointed the Venerable Ajita as arranger of seats for the elder bhikkhus. Then it occurred to the elder bhikkhus: "Where, now, should we settle this legal issue (adhikaraṇa)?" Then it occurred to the elder bhikkhus: "This Vālikārāma is delightful, with little sound and little noise. Suppose we were to settle this legal issue at Vālikārāma." Then the elder bhikkhus, desiring to decide that legal issue, went to Vālikārāma.
