[68] Now at that time, bhikkhus, having sewn a robe, abandoned the sewing-frame (kaṭhina) right there and departed. It was eaten by rats and by termites. They reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhus, I allow the frame to be rolled up." The frame split apart. … "Bhikkhus, I allow the frame to be rolled up around a rolling-stick (goghaṃsikā)." The frame came unrolled. … "Bhikkhus, I allow a binding cord."
