[1011] What is well-approved by the Saṅgha (saṅghasuṭṭhu), that is for the comfort of the Saṅgha; what is well-approved by the Saṅgha, that is for the restraint of shameless persons; what is well-approved by the Saṅgha, that is for the comfortable dwelling of well-behaved bhikkhus; what is well-approved by the Saṅgha, that is for the restraint of taints (āsava) pertaining to the present life; what is well-approved by the Saṅgha, that is for warding off taints pertaining to future lives; what is well-approved by the Saṅgha, that is for arousing confidence in those without confidence; what is well-approved by the Saṅgha, that is for the increase of confidence in those already confident; what is well-approved by the Saṅgha, that is for the continuance of the true Dhamma; what is well-approved by the Saṅgha, that is for the support of the Vinaya.
