Vinayapiṭaka · Parivāra · Vol. 8 · Section 1012

[1012] What is for the comfort of the Saṅgha (saṅghaphāsu), that is for the restraint of shameless persons; what is for the comfort of the Saṅgha, that is for the comfortable dwelling of well-behaved bhikkhus; what is for the comfort of the Saṅgha, that is for the restraint of taints (āsava) pertaining to the present life; what is for the comfort of the Saṅgha, that is for warding off taints pertaining to future lives; what is for the comfort of the Saṅgha, that is for the arousing of confidence in those without confidence; what is for the comfort of the Saṅgha, that is for the increase of confidence in those already confident; what is for the comfort of the Saṅgha, that is for the stability of the true Dhamma (saddhamma); what is for the comfort of the Saṅgha, that is for the support of the Vinaya; what is for the comfort of the Saṅgha, that is what is good for the Saṅgha.
