[1244] How many roots of the Vinaya are there, which were laid down by the Buddha? How many are said to be grave in respect of the Vinaya (vinayagarukā)? How many are the concealments of what is depraved (duṭṭhullachādanā)? Two are the roots of the Vinaya, which were laid down by the Buddha; two are said to be grave in respect of the Vinaya; two are the concealments of what is depraved.
