[1269] Of how many factors does false speech (musāvāda) consist? How many are the factors of the uposatha? How many are the factors of a messenger (dūteyyaṅga)? How many are the ways of going over to the sectarians (titthiyavattanā)? False speech consists of eight factors; there are eight factors of the uposatha; eight factors of a messenger; eight ways of going over to the sectarians.
