[1293] "How many offences entailing expiation (pācittiya) were declared by the Buddha, Kinsman of the Sun (ādiccabandhu)? Of you who profess the Vinaya we would hear the range (visaya)." "One hundred and eighty-eight offences entailing expiation were declared by the Buddha, Kinsman of the Sun. Of me who profess the Vinaya hear now the range."
