[486] "By that Blessed One who knows and sees, the Arahant, the Perfectly Enlightened One — where was the offense of wrongdoing (dukkaṭa) laid down for, out of disrespect (anādariya), defecating or urinating or spitting in water?"
"It was laid down at Sāvatthī."
"Concerning whom?"
"Concerning the group-of-six (chabbaggiyā) bhikkhus."
"On account of what matter?"
"On the matter of the group-of-six bhikkhus defecating, urinating, and spitting in water."
There is one laying-down (paññatti) and one supplementary laying-down (anupaññatti). Of the six originations of offenses (āpattisamuṭṭhāna), it originates by one origination: it originates from body and from mind (citta), not from speech.
