Chattupāhnavagga

Vinayapiṭaka · Parivāra · Vol. 8 · Section 629

[629] "Where was the offense entailing expiation (pācittiya) for a bhikkhunī who bathes with scented cosmetics (gandhavaṇṇaka) laid down?" "It was laid down at Sāvatthī." "Concerning whom?" "Concerning the group-of-six bhikkhunīs." "On account of what matter?" "On the matter that the group-of-six bhikkhunīs bathed with scented cosmetics." There is one laying down (paññatti). Of the six origins of offenses (āpattisamuṭṭhāna), it arises through two origins (as in the goat's-wool rule [eḷakaloma]).
