[805] Through concealing a fault (vajja) as the condition, how many offenses (āpatti) does one commit?
Through concealing a fault as the condition, one commits four offenses: a bhikkhunī who, knowing it, conceals one who has committed an act entailing pārājika, incurs an offense of pārājika; if, being doubtful, she conceals it, an offense of thullaccaya; a bhikkhu who conceals a saṅghādisesa incurs an offense of pācittiya; one who conceals a failure in conduct (ācāravipatti) incurs an offense of dukkaṭa. Through concealing a fault as the condition, one commits these four offenses.
