[807] Through the condition of completing the eighth ground (vatthu), how many offenses (āpatti) does one commit?
Through the condition of completing the eighth ground, one commits three offenses (āpatti): when told by a man, "Come to such-and-such [a place]," she goes — an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa); at the mere stepping within arm's reach (hatthapāsa) of the man — an offense of grave transgression (thullaccaya); she completes the eighth ground — an offense entailing defeat (pārājika). Through the condition of completing the eighth ground, one commits these three offenses.
