[832] The [rule on] ewe's wool (eḷakaloma), the two on lying down,
the bed with detachable legs (āhaccapādaka), eating almsfood [at the public rest house];
the group [meal], [eating at] the wrong time, storing up [food],
tooth-wood, and the naked ascetic (acelaka);
[going to see an army] set out on the march, staying [with an army], the battle-array,
liquor (surā), bathing at less than [the half-month];
the [rule on] disfiguring [a new robe], the two pāṭidesanīyas,
garlic, attending [upon a bhikkhu while he eats], and dancing;
bathing [naked], the [shared] coverlet, the [shared] bed,
[touring] within the country, and likewise outside;
[setting out on tour] during the rains, the picture-gallery,
the high couch (āsandi), spinning yarn;
performing services [for householders], and [giving food] with one's own hand,
and residing [for the rains] in a dwelling without bhikkhus;
the sunshade and the vehicle, the hip-girdle (saṅghāṇī),
ornament, and what is perfumed and what is scented;
[being rubbed and massaged by] a bhikkhunī, a sikkhamānā,
a sāmaṇerī, or a laywoman;
and the offense of [entering a village] without a bodice —
forty and four [in all]:
[arising] from body, not from speech-and-mind;
from body-and-mind, not from speech —
all these have two origins,
the same as the ewe's-wool rule.
The origin (samuṭṭhāna) as in the Eḷakaloma rule is concluded.
