[833] The rule on (reciting the Dhamma) word by word (pada), that on "except" (aññatra) [teaching the Dhamma to a woman in more than five or six sentences except in the presence of a knowledgeable man], that on one unappointed (asammata) [exhorting the bhikkhunīs], and likewise that on (exhorting them) after the sun has set (atthaṅgata),
the two rules spoken of concerning the low arts (tiracchānavijjā), and asking (a question) without having requested leave (anokāse pucchanā) —
these seven training rules arise from speech, not from body and mind;
they arise from speech together with mind, but they do not arise from body.
All have two originations, the same as (the rule on reciting the Dhamma) word by word (padasodhamma).
