[211] "Then, brahmin, before the sacrifice, the brahmin high priest dispelled King Mahāvijita's regret regarding the recipients in ten respects:
'There will come to your sacrifice both those who kill living beings and those who refrain from killing living beings. As to those there who kill living beings, that is theirs alone by that very deed; but as to those there who refrain from killing living beings, it is with regard to them that the honorable one should sacrifice, should relinquish, should rejoice, and should make confident his inner mind (citta).'"
