[52] Therein, bhikkhus, as for those ascetics and brahmins who are partial eternalists and partial non-eternalists, who assert that the self and the world are partially eternal and partially not eternal on four grounds — that too is only the feeling (vedayita) of those honourable ascetics and brahmins who do not know and do not see; it is only the agitation and vacillation of those in the grip of craving (taṇhā).
