[138] Now at that time, while boiled rice belonging to the Saṅgha was being distributed, a certain bhikkhu, saying, "Give the share of another," took it without grounds. He became remorseful … "There is no offence, bhikkhu, entailing pārājika; there is an offence of pācittiya for deliberate lying (sampajānamusāvāda)." Now at that time, while hard food belonging to the Saṅgha was being distributed … while cakes belonging to the Saṅgha were being distributed … while sugarcane belonging to the Saṅgha was being distributed … while timbarūsaka fruits belonging to the Saṅgha were being distributed, a certain bhikkhu, saying, "Give the share of another," took it without grounds. He became remorseful … "There is no offence, bhikkhu, entailing pārājika; there is an offence of pācittiya for deliberate lying."
