[217] Now at that time the bhikkhus of the group of seventeen (sattarasavaggiyā), thinking, "We will give this group-of-six (chabbaggiya) bhikkhu a doing," pressed down upon him in a heap and killed him. They were remorseful … "Bhikkhus, there is no offence (āpatti) of pārājika; there is an offence of pācittiya."
