[205] Now at that time a certain bhikkhu was sick. The bhikkhus, out of compassion, spoke in praise of death to him. That bhikkhu died. They were beset by remorse: "Could it be that we have committed an offense entailing expulsion (pārājika)?" Then those bhikkhus reported this matter to the Blessed One. "Bhikkhus, you have committed an offense, a pārājika."
