[221] Now at that time a certain bhikkhu was seized by a non-human being (amanussa). Another bhikkhu gave that bhikkhu a blow. That bhikkhu died. He was remorseful. … "There is no offense (anāpatti), bhikkhu, for one who does not intend death." Now at that time a certain bhikkhu was seized by a non-human being. Another bhikkhu, intending death, gave that bhikkhu a blow. That bhikkhu died. … That bhikkhu did not die. He was remorseful. … "Bhikkhu, there is no offense entailing pārājika; there is an offense of thullaccaya."
