[25] "Whoever" (yo pana): whoever — of whatever sort, however occupied, of whatever birth, of whatever name, of whatever clan, of whatever virtue (sīla), of whatever manner of dwelling, of whatever resort (gocara) — whether an elder (thera), or newly ordained (nava), or of middle standing (majjhima): this is called "whoever."
