[73] Now at that time in Sāvatthī there was a female lay follower (upāsikā) named Saddhā, whose faith was soft [naive]. She held this view: "She who gives sexual intercourse (methunadhamma) gives the foremost gift." Having seen a bhikkhu, she said this: "Come, venerable sir, engage in sexual intercourse."
"Enough, sister; this is not allowable."
"Come, venerable sir, rub between the thighs; in this way there will be no offence (āpatti) for you."
That bhikkhu did so. He was remorseful. … "Bhikkhu, there is no offence of pārājika; there is an offence of saṅghādisesa."
