Suttapiṭaka · Majjhimanikāya · Vol. 13 · Section 395

[395] "What do you think, Kaccāna? Between a great mass of fire in the dark and gloom of night, and the morning star (osadhitārakā) in the clear, cloudless sky at the time approaching dawn — of these two splendors, which splendor is the more excellent and the more sublime?" "Master Gotama, of these two splendors, the morning star in the clear, cloudless sky at the time approaching dawn is the more excellent and the more sublime."
