[139] And how, bhikkhus, does an untrue person (asappurisa) have the view of an untrue person? Here, bhikkhus, an untrue person holds such a view as this: 'There is nothing given, nothing sacrificed, nothing offered; there is no fruit or result of actions well done or ill done; there is no this world, no other world; there is no mother, no father; there are no beings spontaneously reborn; there are no ascetics and brahmins in the world who are rightly gone, rightly practiced, who, having realized this world and the other world for themselves by direct knowledge, proclaim them.' It is in this way, bhikkhus, that an untrue person has the view of an untrue person.
