Paṭipadāsutta

[21] "And what, bhikkhus, is the right way of practice (sammāpaṭipadā)? With the remainderless fading away and cessation of that very ignorance (avijjā) comes the cessation of volitional formations; with the cessation of volitional formations, the cessation of consciousness … Such is the cessation of this whole mass of suffering (dukkha). This, bhikkhus, is called the right way of practice." The third [sutta].
