[344] At Sāvatthī. Bhikkhus, for a clansman (kulaputta) gone forth out of faith, this is what accords with the Dhamma (anudhamma): that he should dwell contemplating suffering (dukkha) in form … in feeling (vedanā) … in perception … in volitional formations … that he should dwell contemplating suffering in consciousness. … He is freed from suffering, I say.
