[84] At Sāvatthī. There indeed … "Bhikkhus, for a bhikkhu practicing in accordance with the Dhamma (dhammānudhammapaṭipanna), this is what accords with the Dhamma (anudhamma): that he should dwell contemplating impermanence in form (rūpa) … in feeling (vedanā) … in perception (saññā) … in volitional formations (saṅkhārā) … that he should dwell contemplating impermanence in consciousness (viññāṇa). Dwelling contemplating impermanence in form … in feeling … in perception … in volitional formations … dwelling contemplating impermanence in consciousness, he fully understands form … feeling … perception … volitional formations … he fully understands consciousness. Fully understanding form … feeling … perception … volitional formations … fully understanding consciousness, he is freed from form, freed from feeling, freed from perception, freed from volitional formations, freed from consciousness; he is freed from birth, aging, death, from sorrow, lamentation, pain, grief, and despair; he is freed from suffering (dukkha), I say."
