[643] Therein, headman (gāmaṇi), the one who enjoys sensual pleasures who seeks wealth righteously, without violence; and having sought wealth righteously, without violence, makes himself happy and satisfied, shares it and does deeds of merit; and who uses that wealth without being tied to it, uninfatuated, not blindly absorbed, seeing the danger in it, possessing the wisdom of escape — this one who enjoys sensual pleasures, headman, is praiseworthy on four grounds. On what four grounds is he praiseworthy? "He seeks wealth righteously, without violence" — on this first ground he is praiseworthy. "He makes himself happy and satisfied" — on this second ground he is praiseworthy. "He shares it and does deeds of merit" — on this third ground he is praiseworthy. "He uses that wealth without being tied to it, uninfatuated, not blindly absorbed, seeing the danger in it, possessing the wisdom of escape" — on this fourth ground he is praiseworthy. This one who enjoys sensual pleasures, headman, is praiseworthy on these four grounds.
