[684] And what, bhikkhus, is the path (magga) leading to the unconditioned (asaṅkhata)? The Noble Eightfold Path (ariya aṭṭhaṅgika magga). This, bhikkhus, is called the path leading to the unconditioned.
Thus, bhikkhus, the unconditioned has been taught to you by me, and the path leading to the unconditioned has been taught. Whatever, bhikkhus, should be done by a teacher who seeks the welfare of his disciples, who is compassionate, out of compassion — that has been done for you by me. These, bhikkhus, are the roots of trees; these are empty dwellings (suññāgāra). Meditate, bhikkhus; do not be negligent; do not be remorseful afterward. This is our instruction to you.

Its summary (uddāna):
Body, serenity, thought, emptiness, the establishments of mindfulness (satipaṭṭhāna),
the right strivings, the bases of spiritual power, the faculties, the powers, the factors of awakening (bojjhaṅga),
with the path as the eleventh — the summary of the ten² is declared.
