[774] "Friend, in one who does not know and does not see form (rūpa) as it really is, who does not know and does not see the origin of form as it really is, who does not know and does not see the cessation of form as it really is, who does not know and does not see the way of practice leading to the cessation of form as it really is, there occurs the view: 'The Tathāgata exists after death'; there occurs the view: 'The Tathāgata does not exist after death'; there occurs the view: 'The Tathāgata both exists and does not exist after death'; there occurs the view: 'The Tathāgata neither exists nor does not exist after death.' Feeling (vedanā) … perception … volitional formations … In one who does not know and does not see consciousness as it really is, who does not know and does not see the origin of consciousness as it really is, who does not know and does not see the cessation of consciousness as it really is, who does not know and does not see the way of practice leading to the cessation of consciousness as it really is, there occurs the view: 'The Tathāgata exists after death'; there occurs the view: 'The Tathāgata does not exist after death'; there occurs the view: 'The Tathāgata both exists and does not exist after death'; there occurs the view: 'The Tathāgata neither exists nor does not exist after death.'"
