[1380] At Sāvatthī. Then the Venerable Ānanda approached the Blessed One; having approached, he paid homage to the Blessed One and sat down to one side. Sitting to one side, the Venerable Ānanda said this to the Blessed One: "Venerable sir, is there one dhamma which, when developed and cultivated, fulfills four dhammas; four dhammas which, when developed and cultivated, fulfill seven dhammas; and seven dhammas which, when developed and cultivated, fulfill two dhammas?"
"There is, Ānanda, one dhamma which, when developed and cultivated, fulfills four dhammas; four dhammas which, when developed and cultivated, fulfill seven dhammas; and seven dhammas which, when developed and cultivated, fulfill two dhammas."
