[1391] Ānanda, on whatever occasion, in a bhikkhu whose mind is filled with rapture (pīti), the body becomes tranquil and the mind (citta) also becomes tranquil — on that occasion the tranquility (passaddhi) factor of awakening (bojjhaṅga) is aroused in the bhikkhu; on that occasion the bhikkhu develops the tranquility factor of awakening; on that occasion the tranquility factor of awakening comes to fulfillment by development in the bhikkhu. For one whose body is tranquil and who is happy, the mind becomes concentrated (samādhiyati).
