[1390] Ānanda, on whatever occasion unworldly (nirāmisā) rapture (pīti) arises in a bhikkhu whose energy is aroused, on that occasion the rapture factor of awakening (pītisambojjhaṅga) is aroused in the bhikkhu; on that occasion the bhikkhu develops the rapture factor of awakening; on that occasion the rapture factor of awakening comes to fulfillment by development in the bhikkhu. For one whose mind is filled with rapture, the body too becomes tranquil and the mind (citta) too becomes tranquil.
