Suttapiṭaka · Saṁyuttanikāya · Mahāvaggasaṁyutta · Vol. 19 · Section 1389

[1389] Ānanda, on whatever occasion, as a bhikkhu investigates, examines, and enters upon a thorough inquiry into that dhamma with wisdom (paññā), energy is aroused in him and is unflagging — on that occasion the energy factor of awakening (vīriyasambojjhaṅga) is aroused in the bhikkhu; on that occasion the bhikkhu develops the energy factor of awakening; on that occasion the energy factor of awakening goes to fulfillment by development in the bhikkhu. For one whose energy is aroused, there arises rapture that is not of the flesh (nirāmisā).
