[1634] Bhikkhus, these four dhammas, when developed and cultivated, lead to the realization of the fruit of stream-entry (sotāpattiphala). What four? Association with true persons (sappurisasaṃseva), hearing the true Dhamma (saddhammassavana), careful attention (yonisomanasikāra), and practice in accordance with the Dhamma (dhammānudhammapaṭipatti). These, bhikkhus, are the four dhammas which, when developed and cultivated, lead to the realization of the fruit of stream-entry.
