Khandhasutta

Suttapiṭaka · Saṁyuttanikāya · Mahāvaggasaṁyutta · Vol. 19 · Section 1683

[1683] These, bhikkhus, are the four noble truths (ariyasacca). Therefore, bhikkhus, effort (yoga) should be made [to understand]: "This is suffering (dukkha)" … "This is the way of practice leading to the cessation of suffering" — effort should be made.
