[545] And what, bhikkhus, is not the nutriment (anāhāra) for the arising of the unarisen concentration (samādhi) factor of awakening (bojjhaṅga), or for the development and fulfillment of the arisen concentration factor of awakening? There is, bhikkhus, the sign of concentration (samādhinimitta), the sign of non-distraction (abyagganimitta): the absence of frequent attention to that—this is not the nutriment for the arising of the unarisen concentration factor of awakening, or for the development and fulfillment of the arisen concentration factor of awakening.
