[171] There is no offense: if, when being asked, "Where shall we give?", he says, "Give it where your gift (deyyadhamma) would obtain use, or would obtain repair, or would be long-lasting, or wherever your mind (citta) has confidence — give it there"; if he is insane; if he is the first offender. The tenth training rule is concluded. The Bowl Chapter (Pattavagga), the third. _____________ Its summary (uddāna): Two on bowls, and medicine; the rains-cloth; giving as the fifth; oneself; causing to weave; the urgent one;¹ the risky; and with what belongs to the Saṅgha. ¹ The Burmese and European editions read *vāyāpanacceko*.
