[197] One who is fully ordained (upasampanna), desiring to insult, desiring to disparage, desiring to humiliate one who is fully ordained, speaks of the low with reference to what is low — a caṇḍāla, a bamboo-worker (veṇa), a hunter (nesāda), a cartwright (rathakāra), a refuse-remover (pukkusa) — saying: "You are a caṇḍāla," "You are a bamboo-worker," "You are a hunter," "You are a cartwright," "You are a refuse-remover" — there is an offence entailing expiation (pācittiya) for each utterance.
