[198] One who is fully ordained (upasampanna), desiring to insult, desiring to disparage, desiring to humiliate one who is fully ordained, speaks of one of superior birth in terms of the low: to a khattiya or to a brāhmaṇa he says, "You are a caṇḍāla, you are a bamboo-worker (veṇa), you are a hunter (nesāda), you are a chariot-maker (rathakāra), you are a scavenger (pukkusa)" — there is an offense of pācittiya for each and every utterance.
