Vinayapiṭaka · Bhikkhu Vibhaṅga (2) · Vol. 2 · Section 319

[319] "Should declare" (āroceyya) means: for one who says to an unordained person (anupasampanna), "Lust (rāga) has been given up by me, hatred has been given up by me, delusion has been given up by me — vomited up, released, abandoned, relinquished, cast out, thoroughly cast out" — there is an offense of pācittiya. [Editorial footnote in the Siam Raṭṭha edition: ¹ The M[aramma/Burmese] and Yu[European] editions read "arahattaṃ"; so too in passages of this kind.]

English translation from the Pali (Siam Raṭṭha edition) — under review, not for citation.
