[336] "Should tell": a bhikkhu, desiring to say to one not fully ordained (anupasampanna), "I attained the second jhāna," … when he says, "My mind (citta) is rid of hindrance from delusion," if the person understands, there is an offence entailing expiation (pācittiya); if the person does not understand, there is an offence of wrongdoing (dukkaṭa).
"Should tell": desiring to say to one not fully ordained, "I attained the second jhāna," when he says, "I attained the first jhāna," if the person understands, there is an offence entailing expiation; if the person does not understand, there is an offence of wrongdoing. …
