Bhūtārocanasikkhāpada

Vinayapiṭaka · Bhikkhu Vibhaṅga (2) · Vol. 2 · Section 343

[343] **"Whatever … (bhikkhu)"** means: whoever, of whatever sort … **"Bhikkhu"** means: … this is the bhikkhu intended in this context. [The Pali elides with …pe…; the Thai control partially expands: "called a bhikkhu in the sense that he is one who begs."] **"Of a bhikkhu"** means: of another bhikkhu. What is called a **grave offense (duṭṭhullā āpatti)** is the four pārājikas and the thirteen saṅghādisesas. What is called **one not fully ordained (anupasampanna)**: excepting a bhikkhu and a bhikkhunī, the remainder are called "not fully ordained." **"Should inform"** means: he informs a woman or a man, a householder or one gone forth. **"Except with the authorization of a bhikkhu (bhikkhusammuti)"** means: setting aside (the case where there is) an authorization of a bhikkhu.
