[445] When she is not a relation, and he perceives her as not a relation, he gives robe-cloth (cīvara), except in exchange (pārivaṭṭaka): an offence entailing expiation (pācittiya). When she is not a relation, and he is doubtful, he gives robe-cloth, except in exchange: an offence entailing expiation. When she is not a relation, and he perceives her as a relation, he gives robe-cloth, except in exchange: an offence entailing expiation.
He gives robe-cloth to one ordained on one side only, except in exchange: an offence of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa). When she is a relation, and he perceives her as not a relation: an offence of wrong-doing. When she is a relation, and he is doubtful: an offence of wrong-doing.
When she is a relation, and he perceives her as a relation: no offence.
