[448] **"Whatever":** whoever, of whatever sort … . **"Bhikkhu":** … this is the bhikkhu intended in this sense. **"Unrelated" (aññātikā):** not connected on the mother's side or on the father's side back through seven generations of paternal ancestors. **"Bhikkhunī":** one fully ordained in both Saṅghas. **"Robe" (cīvara):** any one of the six kinds of robe-cloth, at minimum one fit for assignment (vikappana). **"Should sew":** he sews it himself — for each stitch of the needle (ārāpathe ārāpathe), an offense of pācittiya. **"Should have it sewn":** he commands another — an offense of pācittiya. Having been commanded once, even if he sews much, an offense of pācittiya. [Editorial footnote in the Siam Raṭṭha edition: 1. The Burmese edition reads *sibbissatīti*. 2.
