[701] When the person is fully ordained (upasampanna), perceiving him as fully ordained, being angry and displeased, one raises the palm as a weapon (talasattika): an offense entailing expiation (pācittiya). When the person is fully ordained, being in doubt, being angry and displeased, one raises the palm as a weapon: an offense entailing expiation. When the person is fully ordained, perceiving him as not fully ordained (anupasampanna), being angry and displeased, one raises the palm as a weapon: an offense entailing expiation.
Being angry and displeased, one raises the palm as a weapon against one who is not fully ordained: an offense of wrong-doing (dukkaṭa). When the person is not fully ordained, perceiving him as fully ordained: an offense of wrong-doing. When the person is not fully ordained, being in doubt: an offense of wrong-doing. When the person is not fully ordained, perceiving him as not fully ordained: an offense of wrong-doing.
