[13] Bhikkhus, a family possessing seven factors, if one has not yet approached it, is not fit to approach; or, having approached, one is not fit to sit down with it. Which seven? They do not rise up in welcome in an agreeable manner; they do not pay respects in an agreeable manner; they do not offer a seat in an agreeable manner; they conceal what they have; when there is much, they give little; when there is what is fine, they give what is coarse; they give without respect, not with respect. Bhikkhus, a family possessing these seven factors, if one has not yet approached it, is not fit to approach; or, having approached, one is not fit to sit down with it.
