[14] Bhikkhus, these seven persons are worthy of gifts (āhuneyya), worthy of hospitality (pāhuneyya), worthy of offerings (dakkhiṇeyya), worthy of reverential salutation (añjalikaraṇīya), an unsurpassed field of merit for the world (anuttaraṃ puññakkhettaṃ lokassa). What seven? The one liberated in both ways (ubhatobhāgavimutta), the one liberated by wisdom (paññāvimutta), the body-witness (kāyasakkhī), the one attained to view (diṭṭhippatta), the one liberated by faith (saddhāvimutta), the Dhamma-follower (dhammānusārī), and the faith-follower (saddhānusārī). These, bhikkhus, are the seven persons who are worthy of gifts, worthy of hospitality, worthy of offerings, worthy of reverential salutation, an unsurpassed field of merit for the world.
