Kosiyajātaka

[1675] Vain is his oblation (huta), and vain too is his striving, who, when a guest is seated, eats his food alone. Therefore I say to you, Kosiya: give gifts (dāna) and eat as well; ascend the path of the noble ones (ariyamagga); one who eats alone gains no happiness.
